Lash Extension Aftercare Instructions

 

Eyelash Extensions are a high maintenance beauty treatment. They require very gentle care in order for the lashes to last longer and stay in good condition.

• Be gentle. Do not rub or pull on your eyelash extensions.

• Keep your Eyelash Extensions dry for 4-6 hours after your appointment.

• You may wash your face in the sink using a washcloth, avoiding the eye area.

• Do not brush through lashes when they are wet.

• Keep all glycol-based products away from the eyes and remember that everything on your face will travel to the eye area.

• GLYCOL WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have premature lash extension loss. 

• Your hands can get dirty so you’ll want to keep your fingers off your eyes unless cleansing.

• No perming the lash extensions! They are pre-curled.

• No saunas, facials, or swimming within 4-6 hours of application.

• Do not stick your head in the oven when baking! It can singe your extensions! Turn your head away from the oven when putting anything in or pulling anything out. Same goes for grilling.

• Do not use Eyelash Curlers.

• You should be careful and take specific care with makeup and remover. Do not use waterproof makeup.

• Do not use cotton on your lash extensions.

• Wash your lashes daily (after the initial 4-6 hours).  Use lash extension cleanser and a brush, brushing gently down the lashes.

• Mascara is not needed. If you need to glam up a Classic Set of lashes, use lash extension safe Mascara. it must be water-soluble. You can not put any mascara on volume or hybrid lashes as they will clump together.

• Apply Mascara to the tips of the lashes only. No need to swipe from bottom to top.

• Do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, call for an appointment.

• Brush your lashes daily.

Remember:

1. We aren’t attaching airplane parts! Aggressive behavior towards the lashes will cause the lash extensions to come off.

2. Keep them dry for 4-6 hours after application.

3. Keep glycol or alcohol based products off your lashes.

4. If you wash them, you will wear them longer. Be sure to gently cleanse daily to remove dirt and debris.

5. Brushing solves most problems. Try brushing the lashes gently if you notice something amiss.

Lash Lift Aftercare Instructions

 

The great thing about a Lash Lift is that it is a very low maintenance procedure however, there is a little extra care required over the first 24-48hrs.

• Be gentle with your lashes; no rubbing. No face sleeping.

• Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 hrs. 48hrs is better. And necessary for KLI.

• Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes.

• The use of Sauna/Steam is possible after 48hrs but may weaken the effect of the lift.

• No eye make up for 24 hours. Only approved products are specific aftercare products for the brand.

• Avoid waterproof Mascara.

• Swimming should be avoided for at least 24hrs. 48 with KLI.

• No other facial beauty treatments for 24hrs. 48 with KLI.

• You can resume the use of lash growth serums on day 3.

• You must condition a traditional lash lift daily with an aftercare product to avoid drying out your lashes and extend the life of your lift. We carry several options for purchase at Lashes at Length.
