What is the difference between a lash lift and lash extensions? Both are enhancement services. A lash lift is a service much like a perm that lifts your own lashes making them appear longer and fuller. The service lasts 6-10 weeks with little maintenance. A lash lift can be described as a basic manicure for your lashes. Lash extensions are synthetic or real mink and are applied to your natural lashes using medical grade cyanoacrylate glue in lengths equal to or longer than your own lashes, adding length, fullness and diameter. We use Novalash brand adhesive exclusively, the BEST in the industry. Extensions can be customized to your desired look and your lash health and require maintenance fills every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking full and beautiful. They grow and shed with your normal lash cycle. Extensions can be described as similar to getting acrylic nails. If you want to keep them, you must maintain them once you lose about 60% of them.

Do I need a patch test for lash services?Patch testing for sensitivity/allergy of all products used is available and recommended. You will need to sign a waiver if you decline to be patch tested.
-
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes? If lash extensions are chosen, applied and cared for properly, they will not damage your natural lashes. Size, weight and length are all factors to be considered by your artist and not everyone can support the same lash extension sets. Proper aftercare is required by the client including cleansing and regular maintenance fills. Professional removal is also recommended to preserve lash health. Avoid products with glycol. At Lashes at Length, only Novalash brand adhesives are used. These adhesives are waterproof and oil proof.

What do I need to do to prepare for a lash lift? You will follow the same rules as for lash extensions but you will also discontinue the use of any lash growth serums for at least three days before the lash lift as some lash lifts can be dehydrating to the lashes.

How old do I need to be to get a lash service? You must be 18 years old or over. If you are 16 or older you may receive a service with parent or guardians written permission.
